Cure to panic attacks / anxiety?
I have had panic attacks since June, 2008. Something scary happened. Then more stress happened a few months later and I Started getting them regularly. I tried 2 meds - lexapro and adivan. They scare me and don’t seem to help. I try books and videos. I am feeling much better, but still nervous enough that I don’t do things I enjoy anymore. I have less major panic attacks, they are shorter. I want to know if anyone has ever beaten them? Can they be completely cured? I am very frustrated about this.
Didn’t your therapist tell you do continue doing mental exercises to help with those times.
It’s called generalization destination. I have to do those when I am freaking out.
Click Here! and stop your panic attack naturally.

My mom had that problem since 5 years ago. She uses zoloft everyday to help control it. It works well. It’s been working ever since she started taking it and hasn’t stopped. If you don’t mind me asking.. what are you scared of?

Here’s what I think causes depression/anxiety.
There is something that you cannot reach, or something you are striving for though can not find…What you have to do is get up and go do it.

Go to a doctor, sometimes it takes more than just one pill, you have to experiment with a couple until you find the one that works best for you. sometimes you have to go through like 9 pills before you find the right one. I used to have panic attacks that came with my bipolar disorder, but there much better now, no they can never be completely cured, I still get them occasionally, but there so much easier to aviod. Sign up for counciling, it really helps

Yes, you can do a lot to actually help yourself with this one. The next time you become anxious, go outdoors, find a small tree (just big enough so you can just about get your arms around it without your hands meeting on the other side) and hug it with everything you have inside you. Cry if it feels good. If you need to cry, do so. But hang onto that tree for a few minutes. Something amazing will happen for you. You will feel the tree helping by "grounding" your anxiety. You will begin to feel your anxiety leaving you and going over and down the tree and into the ground. The first time I discovered this one it was out of desperation. I grabbed the tree because I was totally lost and scared. The tree grabbed me back and took all of my anxiety and earthed it. Tuck this one off in the back of your mind and try it some time. I guarantee it. I will be one more thing that you can do for yourself to regain control, which is one of the main reasons people become anxious in the first place: they have momentarily lost control of a situation. Reclaim control of your life by finding different ways to let go of that anxiety. I never would have believed a beautiful little tree could be so healing. This, I believe, is probably ancient knowledge of some sort, and I just spontaneously tapped into it, and now I share it with you and with anyone who is neutral enough to give it a try.

I continue to be amazed that it actually works. - Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. I am 65, so I have had plenty of time to find all kinds of things to bring me back into control of my life when something throws me for a loop. Good luck to you with this one. Sent with positive energies. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a month. It is no fun to be pushed around by anxiety, and my heart goes out to you because I have been there, personally. - C.

There is an excellent drug free program that will work. Contact the Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety. All you have to do is listen to a bunch of CD’s on your own. It teaches you to change how you react to stressfull situations. It is much better than grabbing a tree (C’mon, give us a break).

I finished the program a couple of years ago.

Lexepro doesn’t work, ativan should have helped. You have to be on an anti anxiety for about 6 weeks minimum for it to work. Usually doses are started small and then increased. Definitely don’t give up on medication, there are a ton out there, it’s just finding the right one. Behavior therapy-is awesome and works. You can be ‘cured’ of panic attacks, you just have to practice relaxation.
