roll down the window and let the air in your face, turn up the radio to a station you like and hope theres a good song on. try to think about something else while still concentrating on driving.

check with your doctor, but my acupunturist gave me these sugar pills that have some sort of panic attack inducing venom in them, but it is such a small amount that it counteracts the panic attack and because it is a sugar pill it dissolves in your mouth quickly…works for me, but again, check with your doctor.

Stop the care / get out / and then take a deep breath or two, do not count to ten or start looking for a paper bag that you probably haven’t got

You need to see a health care professional. Panic attacks are situational, and can be treated. This is a serious problem, not to mention dangerous to you and others.

Pull over and relax for a few minutes - this is the safest and probably the fastest way to deal with an attack. There is no way to directly stop a panic attack once it starts.
A panic attack is a normal response to adrenaline that is released in your body at the wrong time. The effects of adrenalin take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to wear off, and nothing can speed this up. Adrenalin causes rapid pulse and breathing rates, nausea, lightheadedness, weak muscles - all the things you feel in a panic attack. There is nothing you can do once adrenalin is released, other than wait, and control your breathing by taking very slow, relaxed, deep breaths. If you try to stop the symptoms of a panic attack, it usually makes people more panicky and more adrenalin is released. You can learn coping skills a this site:
