panic attack and panic disorder treatments?
what medications worked for you?? or did u try therapy and did it help?
st. mark i am a Christian so ur answer didnt help i have claustrophobia
Ativan and Seroquel have helped me a lot. I no longer get "Free-floating" anxiety attacks, and if I have a panic attack while I’m out in a public place, taking 1mg of ativan will make it go away in less than a half an hour. Or you can try the alternative techniques without the need of medication, Click Here! to learn more and stop panic attack now naturally.
However, it’s different for everyone, if you have a genuine panic disorder, its best to talk to a psychiatrist about how you’re feeling, and they can advise you on what would be the best thing to try.

I know that some people have found that this works every time.
It worked for me so I want to share it with you.
Try this prayer.
Dear God, I invite you to bring your peace and your joy into my life and take this fear and anxious thoughts and feelings away from me.
Fill me with your love and never take your hand off of me. I invite you Father in heaven to take control of my life and I invite you in. I ask Jesus your son to forgive me of my sins and fill me with your peace. Surround me with your angels and your glorious presence.
Let it be so.
Pray this prayer through the day when you feel anxious or fearful.

i did therapy, honestly it didn’t help me. i know it helps a lot of people but i’m just not one of them. i saw a psychiatrist after that and she perscribed me xanax to take when i need to, but also taught me a lot of non-xanax ways to deal with my panic attacks and terrified feelings..breathing exercises, different ways of thinking, things like that. i still take xanax sometimes but most of the times i am able to control myself just with the breathing exercises. i’m now on lamictil for bipolar 2 but she said it could lessen my panic disorder also, just as an added benefit, even though i have it mostly under control myself. it’s worth trying therapy- it really does help most people, but some people just don’t get anything out of it. it’s also cheaper than seeing a psychiatrist, i must admit.
