What is the most effective treatment for depression and panic attacks?
panic attacks can be controlled with medications (such as antidepressants) and professional counseling (such as cognitive-behavioral therapy). Successful treatment reduces the number and frequency of panic attacks, decreases the anxiety that accompanies the fear of future attacks, and improves the quality of your life. The most common treatment for depression includes the combination of antidepressant medicine and psychotherapy (called "therapy" for short, or "counseling").

Keep a journal of some sorts. It always helped me. I never had anyone to open up to, except paper. I could get it all off of my chest and sleep without worrying. Also, the "talk therapy thing" along with anti-depressants. Although I’m still depressed and nothing seems to help except my journal. My panic attacks have long since vanished.

Besides professional treatment I recommend to slowly inhale air through your nose with your eyes close. It feels like the world is about to end but think about all those other times you were depressed and got over it. When going through a depression stage in your life try to keep yourself busy. Clean your house/apartment because clutter would make you more depressed. Even if you don’t want to get out of the house, force yourself.

For one, you need to know what causes it… did you have a tragic life event or some type of experience?
Homeopathic treatments could include Vanadium, Ignatia and/or lithium orotate
You should try to find a wellness consultant or homeopathic physician for more info on that.
Exercise can minimize the effects of depression as effectively as sertraline (Zoloft.)
Adding calcium, magnesium and vitamin b complex to your daily diet can help minimize effects as well.
Also, get the feelings out- on paper, to a trusted friend, a counselor- whatever helps.
